Petal - Passport to Environmental Training And Learning
BTCV with its partners has received Leonardo funding to develop support and assessment materials within the European Qualifications Framework for Environmental Conservation. The project will bring existing materials together and reformat or produce new materials to enable partners in each country to provide accredited training for staff and volunteers.
The new framework will enable individuals to build up units to gain a qualification providing the opportunity for people to be recognised for their skills where this was previously not possible.
With changes to qualifications taking place, NVQs are being phased out and replaced with the new Qualification Credit Framework system, which will map across to the EQF. BTCV will move from delivering NVQs to Awards, Certificates and Diplomas in Environmental Conservation. Further information about the courses currently being offered by BTCV can be found here.
